About Our Organization
The Children’s Miracle Network was founded in 1983 with hopes of raising money for children’s hospitals around the country and encouraging people to support children in their local community. Our local hospital is Dayton Children’s Hospital. They strive to provide quality healthcare from infancy to adolescents. There are more than 290,000 infants, children, and teens that come to the hospital for care every year. They provide everything from check-ups, to specialty clinics, to intensive care and surgeries in hopes of improving the health status of all children. Raiderthon's goal is to provide funds and awareness for Dayton Children’s. We are just one of 250 schools nationwide that raise money for a local Children’s Miracle Network hospital. Wright State will be hosting the second annual Dance Marathon named Raiderthon on November 15, 2014. Raiderthon will be held for 15 hours on November 15, 2014 with the goal beating 2013's total of $50,389! We are proud to support our local Children's Miracle Network Hospital and as always, its for the kids (FTK).
